ArmInfo.On May 25, the Investigative Committee of Armenia received a statement from member of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Youth Foundation, MP Karen Avagyan on fraud in the Youth Fund. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee.
According to the source, Avagyan said that on April 6, the executive director of the Youth Fund, Alexander Ter-Hovakimyan, on behalf of the above-mentioned fund, concluded an agreement with itself on borrowing 326 million AMD.
Based on the statement in the UK, materials were prepared on the basis of which a criminal case was instituted on the fact of embezzlement in especially large amounts, according to Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code. The investigation is under way.
Members of the new government, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, also recently spoke about the questionable goals of the Republican Youth Foundation. It turns out all the universities of the country on the orders from above "paid tribute" to this Fund. The deductions were quite large.
