ArmInfo.Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan attaches great importance to the Armenian-Russian strategic allied relations in ensuring the security of the republic and assures that they will continue to expand and develop using the great potential in a number of areas.
The minister himself during a meeting with Russian advisor-envoy to Armenia Andrei Ivanov and the main military and air-force attache of the Russian embassy in Armenia, Major-General Yevgeny Bulavintsev, stated this
Tonoyan stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of military-political alliances, in particular, the Collective Security Treaty Organization and other international organizations.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current tasks of bilateral military cooperation, including ways to further develop cooperation in the military-political, military and military-technical spheres.
The meeting participants also discussed a number of international and regional issues.
