ArmInfo. Tens of thousands of Armenian citizens gathered in the Republic Square and monitored the live broadcast from the National Assembly of Armenia, where today a special session of the parliament is held, at which the candidature of the new Prime Minister is being discussed.
From 12.00 am the deputy "Elite" leader, the opposition member of the Yelk faction, the candidate for the country's premiere Nikol Pashinyan keeps the floor to the people's deputies. 26 deputies signed up to send questions to the "elected people". Questions of deputies cover all spheres of the country's life from the army and defense to the rule of law and the foreign policy vector of the country. It is noteworthy that a number of oligarchic deputies, including Samvel Aleksanyan (known in the public as "Lfik Samo"-editor's notes) demonstratively gathered and left the meeting hall. At the moment, the special meeting takes place in a half-empty hall, which is fraught with the disruption of the elections. Recall that for Pashinyan's election as prime minister, at least 53 deputies of the Armenian National Assembly must be supported. Earlier, Pashinyan urged all citizens of the country to take to the streets, fill the square and prevent the election of the people's deputy.
