ArmInfo. The new government of Armenia will not resort to harsh actions in foreign policy. The candidate for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on May 1 at the special session of the parliament.
According to him, in modern history there are dozens of examples that testify to drastic changes in foreign policy, which led to disastrous consequences for individual states. In this context, Pashinyan once again confirmed his position on Armenia's adherence to the membership in the EEMP and the CSTO. "It is necessary to take into account the national and state interests of the country," the candidate for prime ministers said.
He again noted that he considers Russia a strategic partner of Armenia and this approach is not threatened. He also called relations with Iran important, relations with which it is necessary to give new breath. Equally important, Pashinyan considers deepening relations with the European Union and stepping up efforts to achieve a visa-free regime with the EU. In this regard, the prime minister stressed the importance of deepening relations with the EU through the implementation of the Agreement on an integral and expanded partner with the EU. Pashinyan also stressed the importance of further developing relations with the US and giving them new impulses. Relations with China were also noted as priority.
