"Pashinyan and Mitchell during a telephone conversation on April 30 discussed political processes in Armenia, as well as how the Armenian people and their parliamentary representatives will find a solution to the current situation. Mitchell stressed that the US government is convinced that the current situation will be resolved peacefully, according to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the rule of law, noting that the State Department closely follows the situation in Armenia, the Assistant Secretary of State once again expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful course of the ongoing rallies, and expressed the hope that both protectors and participants of peaceful demonstrators will continue to refrain from violence while exercising their right to freedom of assembly, but stressed that the US government is ready to work closely with the new executive body of Armenia to further strengthen friendly relations," said Avinyan, which arrived in ArmInfo.
