ArmInfo. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun party is ready to vote for the candidacy of the leader of the opposition movement, MP from the "Yelk" bloc Nikol Pashinyan. This was stated by the representative of the ARF Supreme Body in Armenia Arsen Hambartsumian.
Recalling that on the eve of the Supreme Body of the ARFD party of Armenia issued a statement in which it is proposed to "agree on a single candidate enjoying the people's confidence" on the eve of the May 1 sitting of the parliament, at which the issue of the election of the Prime Minister will be discussed, Hambartsumian said that the party has not made a final decision, but the parliamentary faction of the ARF (7 seats) will support the candidacy of Nikol Pashinyan. On the eve of the meeting the ARF made a statement, proposing on the eve of the May 1 sitting of the National Assembly on the elections of the Prime Minister with the participation of all parliamentary factions to form a joint political agenda, agree on a common candidate enjoying the confidence of the people, who, on a reasonable basis should submit relevant personnel of gje Government and the program of government activities. Recall that on April 25 the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party announced its withdrawal from the coalition partnership agreement with the Republican Party. A little earlier the Republican Party of Armenia stated that it will not nominate its candidate for the post of prime minister. This was followed by a statement by the leader of the Tsaroukyan bloc Gagik Tsaroukyan that he will not be nominated for the post of prime minister.
