ArmInfo. The people of Armenia have repeatedly stated that the victory achieved should be registered de jure. On April 27, during the press conference in Yerevan, the leader of the "Make a step" movement, opposition lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan said, referring to the upcoming elections of the Prime Minister of Armenia.
The lawmaker also stressed that they repeatedly expressed their position on the forthcoming elections on May 1. "The people have repeatedly stated that our victory must be registered de jure as well." The question is whether the RPA wants to resolve the crisis, if a Republican is elected to the post of Prime Minister, this crisis will continue, as we will continue our peaceful demonstrations and try explain to the Republicans, for example, Karen Karapetyan, as Serzh Sargsyan explained, that they do not understand the current situation in the country. Our position is that the head of the Government should not be a Republican to ensure the legitimacy of new parliamentary elections ", - the oppositionist said.
At the same time, he forecasted the arrival of hundreds of thousands of Armenian citizens to the streets of Yerevan on May 1. In this regard, Pashinyan called on all citizens of the country on May 1 from 08:00 to be in Yerevan, to fill the streets and squares of the capital adjacent to the National Assembly.
Touching on the voting of the Tsarukyan bloc and the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party in the parliament, Pashinyan expressed the hope that both of these forces will determine their position before the first of May 1 and publicly announce how they will vote at the Prime Minister's election. "I hope that by the first of May both these forces will make a public statement and announce how they will vote in the elections," he said.
To comment that the associates of the Tsarukyan bloc are talking about the possible nomination of their leader in the candidates for the premieres, Pashinyan expressed the conviction that any step will be properly appreciated by the people.
Asked which of the RPA deputies expressed their readiness to join them, he said that so far no one has taken practical steps in this direction. According to him, there can be as many conversations as possible, but as long as there are no practical steps, there is no reason to ''shake the air". In this regard, Pashinyan proposed publishing the numbers of all the deputies of the Armenian parliament in open access so that every citizen could contact them and convey their position to them.
Asked why he held closed talks with representatives of the Tsarukyan bloc and ARF Dashnaktsutyun party, meanwhile he does not want to take the same step with the RPA, Pashinyan said he had closed negotiations with the above-mentioned forces, since they did not advocate the preservation of the country's crisis, while the RPA is currently a supporter of the current crisis in the country. At the same time, he said that he had held closed talks with Tsarukyan and "Dashnaktsutyun", since they are not on the side of the RPA.
The MP also stressed that he has the people's mandate and is supported by thousands of citizens both inside the country and outside it, because they want to live safely in their state. "Parliament simply must take into account the will of the people, I put all my hopes today on the people, and it is the people who, through pressure on the authorities, can fix the victory we have achieved," the lawmaker said.
Touching on Robert Kocharian's possible nomination for the post of Prime Minister, Pashinyan said that he considers this to be a frivolous whispers.
He also said that he is likely to boycott early parliamentary elections unless he is elected prime minister of the country. For this he will go to various actions, including the blockade of polling stations.
"Either the political crisis will be resolved or deepened, that is, we are not talking about the struggle for the chair, we express this position because we are sure that the Armenian people are now at the stage of revival, and it would be a betrayal not to make every effort to de jure fixation this victory, "- added the leader of the opposition movement.
Answering the question about why not appoint a neutral Prime Minister, Pashinyan asked the counter question: "Who will be responsible for the activity of this neutral Prime Minister?" Even if we and the RPA agree on this issue, and then something will go not so, who will be responsible? The RPA is in fact not responsible for anything, all the responsibility will turn out to be assigned to us? If responsibility is on us, then why should our prime minister not take up this post with the same success? that oz achaet prime minister without responsibility or liability, which will be borne by others, it is absurd, "-Pashinyan exclaimed .
At the same time, he added that everything they offer is 100% consistent with the current Constitution of the country, according to which the parliament can appoint any citizen of Armenia as the prime minister, and it is not necessary that he be a candidate for a parliamentary majority. Pashinyan also believes that the deputies of the parliament are not prevented from voting for him if he is the only candidate submitted. In his opinion, the RPA today must demonstrate that it is ready to go to settle the crisis that has developed in the country.
