ArmInfo.The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh Republic) to the United States Robert Avetisyan addressed the discussions on the topic "Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan: prospects for a breakthrough in the negotiation process". Discussions are organized by the Yale University of the American state of Connecticut at the initiative of the Armenian student club of the university, the press service of the Artsakh Foreign Ministry reported.
The event was also attended by former US Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia John Evans and former US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Keri Kovano. The moderator of the discussions was a senior research fellow at the university, former adviser to the US president (2004-2007) Thomas Graham. In his speech, Robert Avetisyan presented the position of the Republic of Artsakh on the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, touched upon the situation in the negotiation process, and also noted the need to create conditions for its activation. In this context, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh stressed that to ensure progress in the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict, it is necessary to restore the trilateral format of negotiations with full participation of Artsakh at all its stages. Robert Avetisyan also answered the questions of those present.
