ArmInfo.Even after the transparent hint of President Serzh Sargsyan about the intention to nominate the post of prime minister of Armenia after the expiration of his powers, the country's opposition forces, who constantly make vocal statements about their intention to prevent the reproduction of the current ruling regime, could not come to a consensus.
Contradictions could not be overcome within the parliamentary bloc "Elk". As the deputy from the bloc, a member of the Civil Contract party Lena Nazaryan told ArmInfo, the representatives of the State Duma believe that the most true way to fight against the reproduction of Serzh Sargsyan at the helm of power is street fighting. "Since in this particular case the factional struggle will not succeed because of the small number of representatives of the opposition in the Parliament, we believe that the most difficult, but the only true variant of the struggle is street. This is the case when it is the citizens of Armenia who will choose their future and its fate, "the MP stressed. Nazaryan also noted that at the moment the representatives of the Civil Contract party are developing an action plan and will soon be able to present it to the public.
Nazaryan also noted that since the "Elk" bloc includes 3 different parties that could not come to a consensus on this issue, each of them will fight in the way that considers the most effective. "However, this does not mean that our bloc is disintegrating and all the bridges are burned." On all issues on which we will manage to come to a common denominator, we will act together and in concert, "the deputy concluded. The "enlightened Armenia" party is against the street struggle of the "Elk" bloc - its leader Edmond Marukyan follows the methods of parliamentary struggle, and the "Republic" party, whose leader, former Prime Minister Aram Sargsyan believes that it is impossible to once again take the people out onto the street and an ineffective struggle to disappoint him. In response, the leader of the "Civil Treaty" Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting of the faction that he would be able to lead the people into the street without his political companions.
It should be noted that on the eve of the interview Serzh Sargsyan did not exclude the possibility of his nomination for the post of prime minister after the expiration of presidential powers, despite the fact that in 2014 he stated that he would not claim this post. At the same time, Sargsyan noted that if he will run for the post of prime minister, then with one reservation: "In parallel with full realization of constitutional powers, I will spend much more time devoting myself to transferring all the obvious and hidden experience of the past years of governing the country to young political leaders. is extremely important today, and we all have to work on the issue of forming new political leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, regardless of the current political positioning, " UNT.
