Armenian-Georgian friendly relations are developing dynamically in different directions today, worthy of special mention, fixing stable growth in recent years, bilateral economic cooperation. This was stated by the chairman of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze during the meeting with the Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ruben Sadoyan.
Sadoyan, in turn, touched upon the topic of bilateral interparliamentary cooperation, noting that it is at a high level.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding the Armenian-Georgian inter-parliamentary cooperation. In this context, the importance of activating contacts between friendship groups and expanding the legal framework between the two countries was mutually stressed.
Turning to the theme of tourism, Kobakhidze noted with great satisfaction that Georgia is one of the favorite destinations for Armenian tourists and added that the Georgian side attaches great importance to this. The interlocutors agreed that the development of tourism between the two countries will create broad opportunities for contacts between people, and this will further spur the process of deepening bilateral ties. During the discussion of bilateral cooperation in the field of science, the Chairman of the Parliament noted that it would be desirable for contacts between Armenian and Georgian scientific circles to become more active and new joint projects developed, and also new platforms for cooperation have been created. The Armenian diplomat also presented to the Chairman of the Parliament the constitutional reforms in Armenia and the process of transition to the parliamentary system of government.
