ArmInfo. Minister of Justice of Armenia David Harutyunyan on January 29 received a delegation led by the head of the Eastern Partnership Department, as well as Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighborhood Affairs Vasilis Maragos.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Justice, Minister Harutyunyan congratulated the participants on signing the Comprehensive and Expanded Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, noting it as an important step on the way to deepening the existing cooperation, and thanked the EU partners for joint projects. Vasilis Maragos noted the importance of the process of reforms in the justice system of Armenia, and expressed readiness to continue expanding cooperation with Armenia in this direction. During the meeting, the parties touched upon the fight against corruption, the protection of human rights and other issues. The Minister reiterated the importance of support from the EU in the field of judicial reforms and expressed his readiness to further develop cooperation.
