ArmInfo. Armenian Head of Government Karen Karapetyan in an Interview to Austrian radio confirmed the readiness of the Armenian side to constructive negotiations with Azerbaijan. "We want peace, but not by all costs, not at the cost of our independence and national honor", Karen Karapetyan stated.
According to him, it is good when there is no problem with the neighbours. "But it does not mean that if the agreements are not implemented we must do nothing. We are ready for constructive negotiations but if the other side do not show such a readiness, I do not think that we have no alternative for economic development", Karapetyan noted. "I am not saying that we should stop and not to go for peace in our region. but what should we do if the counterpart in negotiations is not contractive? Of course we should develop economy in the conditions of existing restrictions".
Touching upon the possibilities of setting peace with Azerbaijan and establishing relations with Turkey in the near future, the Premier stated that Armenia wants peace on feasible conditions. "We are ready to be constructive, but I cannot forecast how soon it will happen as it depends not only on us", the Prime Minister summarized.
