ArmInfo. The incitement of Directors of educational institutions to submit charges against "Confident Citizen" public organization's activist Daniel Ioanisyan is unacceptable. The Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan expressed such an opinion on April 13.
According to him, there are a lot of problems in this case, starting from the publication of personal information on Ioanesyan and his family right after the publication of records of talks with the heads of educational institutions trying to hire the voters in favor of the Republican Party in the parliamentary elections, and ending with the calls not to let the children to go to lessons unless the directors are fired. "The worst thing this story is the threat of violation of kids on education", he considers, adding that the fact of publication of private information on Ioanesyan's family must be the reason of investigation.
Tatoyan also noted that the representatives of state institutions should refrain from any abuse of their official powers. At the same time, the human rights defender believes that the directors of educational institutions have the constitutional right to apply to the court. "But in this case I support civil society," he resumed.
Earlier it was reported that 30 school principals filed a lawsuit against the published record of conversations with them of the public organization "Union of Confident Citizens", demanding publicly denying accusations against them and paying 2 million AMD in compensation.
To recall, the public organization "Union of Confident Citizens" published a list of directors of more than 100 general schools and kindergartens, as well as records of conversations with them, in which the directors say that they compiled special voter lists for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
