ArmInfo. British Council Armenia, Beeline and the Embassy of Great Britain to Armenia announced the 15th Festival of British films to start at Moscow Cinema House on February 18.
According to the press office of the Company, the opening ceremony will start with the movie entitled as "Me, Daniel Blake", Directed by Ken Loach ( 2 awards of Palm d'Or ).
"Beeline welcomes and pays an importance to the implementation of those Projects helping people to change their lives for better. This year is the year the British Films Festival is being held in Armenia fot he 15th time, and Beeline appears as the sponsor for 5th time. We are happy and proud for the fact that the festival became an expected and desired event in the cultural life of Armenia, Andrey Oyatakhin, the Director General of Beeline said.
In his turn, the Head of British Council Armenian office Arevik Saribekyan mentioned: this year British Council celebrates the 15th Anniversary of its activities, and we launched the annual Film festival from the very first day of our work in Armenia. During this time the Festival became the visiting card of the British Council, and we selected the films with the ultimate responsibility to offer Armenian people the best films of modern British cinema."
According to the source, within the framework of the British Films Festival ( to be held on February 18-24 at Moscow Cinema House), 7 movies will be presented. This year the festival covers films dedicated to human rights. All the events are free of charge.
