ArmInfo. The bloc of ex-defense minister Seyran Ohanyan and ex-foreign minister of Armenia, Solidarity Party leader Vartan Oskanian is still undergoing changes.
In particular, yesterday Raffi Hovannisian's Heritage Party announced its intention to run in the parliamentary elections as part of the Ohanyan-Oskanian bloc. Meanwhile, ex-deputy head of President's Staff Viktor Dallakyan's Third Republic Party, which is a founding member of the Ohanyan-Oskanian bloc, has announced its withdrawal from the given political structure. According to Armenian media, Dallakyan has taken such a decision due to his reluctance to cooperate with Hovannisian and his teammates.
For his part, National Self-Determination Union Party leader Paruyr Hayrikyan made a statement, urging the bloc to accelerate organizational processes. Moreover, he stressed the need to declare the new Constitution invalid, to adopt a new Electoral Code and a new Constitution within the next two years, and to form the legislative and executive powers. He also pointed out the necessity to give a name to the bloc as soon as possible, as well as to specify its leaders.
Earlier the Democratic Party of Armenia announced suspension of its cooperation with the bloc. When explaining the reason, Aram Sargsyan, the leader of the party, noted that the political forces are preparing their lists. "It does not pertain to the politicians given the current situation in the country. I wish them success if this alliance is formed," he said.
