ArmInfo. Viktor Dallakyan's Third Republic Party, Vartan Oskanian's Solidarity Party and Aram Sargsyan's Democratic Party have officially consolidated in a joint bloc headed by ex-defense minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan.
The joint statement of these forces reads, "Realizing the challenges faced by Armenia and Artsakh and the fact that the large-scale corruption, monopolization of the economy, low efficiency of the state structures are the main reasons of the setback, large-scale migration and low social standards, and the need for sooner settlement of these problems, Third Republic, Solidarity and Democratic Party of Armenia state their intention to run in the parliamentary elections in 2017 as a single bloc." The parties say that they are ready to quit the narrow-party programs for the sake of common interests. They also state that they have specific programs and a schedule to take the country out of the current situation. The statement stresses that the parties realize the need for power of new quality in Armenia. The document notes that the bloc is open for consolidation of other political forces as well.
