ArmInfo. The People's Party of Armenia will keep cooperating with the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Stepan Demirchyan, the leader of the People's Party of Armenia, said at the 2nd ANC congress in Yerevan on December 17.
"The ANC is the one of the most influential and well-organized opposition forces of Armenia. The ANC plays a serious role and consistently fights for establishment of democracy in the country," Demirchyan said.
He recalled that the cooperation between the two parties was launched in 2007, when the opposition front was formed. Demirchyan added that the cooperation between the parties was aimed at establishing a constitutional order in the country. "The People's Party of Armenia is willing to continue this cooperation to join efforts in order to bring the country out of this difficult situation," he stressed.
To note, at the parliamentary elections in 2012, Stepan Demirchyan was elected MP by the ANC's proportional list.
