ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Interior of Georgia Giorgi Mgebrishvili on December 16.
The press office of the President of Armenia reports that Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guest and stressed the importance of his visit from the viewpoint of deepening the close and efficient cooperation between the police structures of Armenia and Georgia and thwarting together the existing contemporary challenges. Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that the Declaration on the Strengthening of Cooperation between the Police of the Republic of Armenia and Ministry of Interior of Georgia signed by the parties will stand our for its efficiency.
Stressing that Armenia and Georgia are not only friendly states but also have centuries-long good- neighborly relations, President Sargsyan noted that it is necessary to work incessantly to strengthen our friendship.
The interlocutors concurred that especially in recent years the Armenian-Georgian political dialogue is developing dynamically which is supported significantly by the reciprocal visits and contacts on different levels, including between the representatives of the law enforcement bodies. It allows discussing in a constructive and warm atmosphere agenda items which present mutual interest.
The Minister of Interior of Georgia Giorgi Mgebrishvili conveyed to President Sargsyan warm greetings from the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili and noted with satisfaction the mutually beneficial and efficient cooperation with the Armenian colleagues.
