ArmInfo.Swedish court qualified Vice President of the Turkish National Association of Sweden Barbaros Leylani's anti-Armenian statements as criminal offense. Leylani was charged with a two-year of conditional sentence and payment of fine.
To recall, on April 9, 2016 a number of organizations in Sweden representing Azerbaijani, Turkish and Turkmen communities held a protest in Stockholm. During the demonstration the Vice President of the Turkish National Association of Sweden Barbaros Leylani made a number of Anti- Armenian statements containing elements of hatred and racial discrimination, the participants of the demonstration supported those slogans. The incident sparked wide public outcry. A lot of organizations of Armenian community in Sweden and individuals submitted complaint to the Police demanding to initiate a criminal case against Leylani.
