ArmInfo.Stepanakert refutes the information about detention of writer Lusine Nersisyan, who has allegedly joined the Baku initiative "Platforms of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan".
"Lusine Nersisyan is not detained. These reports are another Azerbaijani hoax. Moreover, the hoax is presented rather clumsily," NKR President's Spokesman David Babayan has told ArmInfo.
At the same time, Babayan states that over the past 1-1.5 years Azerbaijan has been conducting a hybrid war against the Armenian side, using various mechanisms for that. "Now they are looking for people, who are ready to join their initiative for big money. But let us see whom they have managed to recruit. Those are four unreasonable people, including Vahan Martirosyan, whose wife has run away because he was trying to rape their own child. The rest of the people are not better than Martirosyan," Babayan says.
He notes that either villains or insane people voluntarily become traitors. Babayan says that the process of recruitment has already started, however, he sees no threat in it. "Quite the opposite, such examples will show the true face of such villains and will help our society to recover. They contribute to strengthening of our immune system," he stresses.
To note, Lusine Nersisyan, a writer from Stepanakert, announced yesterday her decision to join the abovementioned platform. In her interview to Azerbaijan-based haqqin.az, she strongly criticizes the situation in Armenia and Karabakh, saying that Armenians are sick and tired of the Karabakh conflict. She also speaks of "occupation of Azeri lands by the Armenian side".
Meanwhile, the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the National Security Service of Armenia are still keeping silence. When asked by ArmInfo's correspondent to comment on the latest processes around the Baku platform, the Foreign Ministry of Armenia said that it is not going to comment on idiocy. In the meantime, Director General of the Russian news agency "Rossiya Segodnya" welcomed the initiative on creation of the Baku platform for peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The National Security Service, in turn, said that it has no information for mass media. However, sources in the Security Service told ArmInfo that the National Security Service keeps a close eye on the situation. Earlier citizen of Armenia Armen Virabyan stated that he joined the platform and intends to visit Baku to take part in the platform activities. According to media reports, Virabyan is a close relative of Armenian Deputy Defense Minister David Tonoyan. The media outlets also report that right after Virabyan's statement that he joined the platform, Virabyan's brother was detained in Yerevan. However, a video footage was posted in the social networks, where Virabyan states that he was deceived about the true goals of that platform and that he refused to visit Baku after he had found out the whole truth. Virabyan lives in Germany and he says that before finding out the truth he intended to take part in the platform activities from the third country. He stresses that he is against the return of territories to Azerbaijani control. To note, Virabyan was a civil activist and participated in various protest actions.
According to other reports, former Armenian officer Norayr Minasyan is going to join the platform. However, Minasyan has already refuted the Azeri media's information and said that he has deliberately contacted Vahan Martirosyan, who moved to Baku last year, and tried to wriggle into his favor, stating his loyalty to the Azerbaijani authorities. Minasyan received a big sum of money for that, however, Minasyan states that his true goal was revenge: he was trying to punish Martirosyan for the high treason. To note, Minasyan lives in Rostov-on-Don now. Earlier he served in the Armenian armed forces and has two criminal records.
At the same time, the information that two Armenians - Vahe Avetyan, who calls himself a human right activist, and Susan Jaghinyan, who calls herself journalist, have moved to Baku, is not refuted.
