Beside that, the majority of couples spend all the free time together and deal with kids issues or other family affairs. It is good also, that 90% of respondents think that domestic violence is acceptable. At the same time, the total situation in the country in respect to domestic violence generates concerns," UN representative mentioned.
In her turn, expert Gina Sarkisova informed that according study data, 45, 9% of women confess that have experienced mental violence, 21% - domestic, 12% - physical. 12% of males stated they have implemented sexual assault in respect to their partners. "The picture is pretty good regarding the view of women I politics - the majority of respondents do see women in politics. Most of respondents think that there is a need of special law to overcome this problem," expert summarizes.
To mention, around 1600 people participated in the survey throughout all Armenia. It is interesting, that the society was not ready for such surveys, and 73% in Yerevan and 33% in rural areas refused to participate in the survey"
