ArmInfo. VimpelCom intends to become leading digital operator in Armenia, Chief Executive Officer of VimpelCom Jean-Yves Charlier stated at the briefing on November 25. We are on our way of interesting transformations, in other words on the crossroad of telecommunications industry, which will allow Beeline becoming the leading operator in Armenia. During my visit to Armenia I intend to work with the company's management team to carry out the given tasks, he noted.
According to him Beeline will continue to provide its traditional services at the same time new ones will be introduced, particularly related to television and messaging services in Armenia. At the same time he stressed that VimpelCom does not intend to expand its presence on new markets and its oriented on modernization and increasing services in those countries, where it is already present.
This year we spend 17% of the company's income on modernization of services and introduction of new ones. I am ready to facilitate development of the company in Armenia and assist in creation of innovative solutions for Beeline subscribes, he stated noting that recently VimpelCom manages to work with profit and maintain positive balance.
At the same time Jean-Yves Charlier informed that yesterday he had a meeting with Armenia's Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, during which the sides discussed ways of modernization of the company's infrastructures in Armenia.
