ArmInfo. Ara Abrahamyam, the Head of Armenians Union of Russia, according to his statement made at a press conference in Yerevan on November 22, took a decision not to participate in the Parliamentary Elections in Armenia.
Following Abrahamyan's wording, he wanted to participate in Parliamentary Elections in Armenia, just to be useful for Armenia and for my people, but problems occurred. "I wanted to participate and I have made appropriate preparations for that participation, because I felt I could help my country, my people with my actions not with words. But, regretfully, some problems occurred and I have to be absent from the country for a while," Abrahamyan stated.
The Head of the UAR clarified that his problems are related to his health, and he should take a 6-7 months duration appropriate treatment abroad.
As UAR Head ensured, all the plans regarding the support to Armenia, will proceed on. What is to political support to parties at Parliamentary elections, Abrahamyan could not give an exact answer to that question, because he haven't think about that. "I have to study carefully the program of any party, which wants to cooperate with us, because I am an action man. And if any party will conform to criteria set forth by me, I will be open for cooperation," Ara Abrahamyan added.
To remind, Ara Abrahamyan on October 14, 2015 at a press conference in Yerevan stated that he is intended to participate in the next Parliamentary Elections in Armenia. "The most propable scenario will be the establishment of the new party, and the final decision will be taken in March," Abrahamyan added.
