ArmInfo. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) rules out any coalition with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) in the Elders' Council in Gyumri, PAP Faction Secretary Mikayel Melkumyan told ArmInfo on October 3.
In the meantime, he said that the PAP may cooperate with other parties that ran in the local elections. Melkumyan noted that the PAP is generally satisfied with the election results, however, it is going to dispute the results in Gyumri. "We are already holding consultations with other political forces to dispute the election results and have the votes recounted, because we think the recount will result in percentage changes," he said, noting that the party is also dissatisfied with the results registered in Vanadzor.
To note, by the preliminary data, Balasanyan Bloc took the lead in Gyumri (17 mandates). PAP gained the second place with 21.66% of votes (8 mandates). In Vanadzor, PAP held the fourth place with 7.25% of votes.
