ArmInfo. The movement that began in Tavush and became national one returned our national dignity. Former Prime Minister of Armenia Vazgen Manukyan wrote on his Facebook page.
"Using standard political technologies alone, it was impossible to change the situation in which the Armenian people and our state are now.
We needed a healthy trend, a movement that would unite around itself national, ideological, religious, common goals, and this is happening now.
This trend is already instilling new hope and faith in our people, making it possible to shape our future. "I welcome the movement that began in Tavush and became national one, which returned to us national dignity, self-confidence and the right to proudly stand alongside other peoples," Manukyan noted.
On May 4, a march to Yerevan started from the village of Kirants under the leadership of Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. On May 9 they plan to arrive in the Armenian capital. They are protesting, in their words, against "illegal delimitation" and unilateral concessions. A number of political forces and figures have already expressed support for the movement.
