ArmInfo. A protest rally is taking place in Republic Square in Yerevan calling for unity against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The initiators of the action, as noted, are the leader of the "Public Voice" party Vardan Ghukasyan and the "Armenian National Unity" party Mihran Poghosyan.
Participants in the protest movement claim that today the number one enemy of the Armenian people is not the Turks, but the person who occupies the prime minister's chair in the government. For Pashinyan to leave his post, the protesters believe unity in Republic Square is necessary. In particular, activists call for the struggle to be waged not in Tavush, but in the capital - in the square.
The ex-leader of the Guardians of the Revolution group Hayk joined the participants of the action Stepanyan, who at one time supported Nikol Pashinyan. First of all, he asked citizens to admit their guilt in what happened. "No matter how scoundrel he is, we must admit that we are to blame because we did not understand that he was lying to us and manipulating us. I apologize for making a mistake, for supporting and defending him," Stepanyan said. Noting that he is personally acquainted with Nikol Pashinyan, his former associate noted that the latter wants to retain power at any cost, including the price of sovereignty, concessions of territories, etc.
The protesters chanted "Unity". The latter demanded that Nikol Pashinyan be awarded the title of People's Hero of Azerbaijan.
One of the activists, thanking all the citizens gathered on Republic Square, said that the leader of the Armenian National Unity party Mihran Poghosyan himself would later announce further actions of this protest movement.
