ArmInfo.On April 22, the International Court of Justice in The Hague will begin hearings on preliminary objections filed by Armenia as part of the counterclaim initiated by Azerbaijan.
"Based on written and oral submissions, Armenia requests the court to reject the first preliminary objection raised by Azerbaijan," said Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Armenia's Representative on International Legal Matters.
He also requested that the second preliminary objection be dismissed, or, alternatively, declared "not of a purely preliminary nature."
Earlier, Armenia filed a several complaints against Azerbaijan regarding various crimes, including murders of people of Armenian nationality, their torture, inhuman treatment, illegal detentions and forced disappearances.
