The vast majority of respondents in Armenia are convinced that in order to counter the Azerbaijani aggression, it is necessary to arm and give a worthy rebuff, thereby protecting the state borders of the country. This is evidenced by the results of the "Water wears away the stone" survey, conducted by the MPG consulting company (Marketing Professional Group - the exclusive representative of the International Association GALLUP in Armenia).
According to the results of the survey, 59.4% of respondents adhere to this position, 14.1% believe that the intensification of peace negotiations will contribute to this. 10% of respondents believe that Armenia should turn to the West for help in ensuring security, 8.8% believe that it is necessary to turn to Russia for help, 2.9% gave a different answer, and 4.8% found it difficult to answer at all.
To clarify, the vector of Armenia's integration should be directed towards which state or states, 44.6% of the respondents expressed their conviction that Yerevan should develop equally distant relations with all centers of influence, Meanwhile, only 27.6% of respondents thought so in June 2020. 17.4% (25.1%) of the respondents mentioned Russia, 15.5% (9.2%) - the USA, 9% (17.1%) - Europe, 2.1% (9.3%) - other countries, 11.5% - found it difficult to answer.
When asked which of the following best characterizes the desire of the West to intervene in the process of resolving the conflict with Azerbaijan, 29.3% of respondents mentioned the establishment of peace between Yerevan and Baku, 23.3% - an increase in the presence of the West in the region, 21.4% - ousting Russia from the region, 6.5% - provoking new tension in the region, 18.5% - found it difficult to answer.
Citizens were also asked to assess the reaction of foreign countries and institutions to the Azerbaijani aggression in September this year.
Thus, 36.9% of respondents positively assessed the EU's reaction to the Azerbaijani aggression, and 46.5% - negatively, while 16.3% found it difficult to answer. The reaction of the CSTO was negatively assessed by 72.4%, 11.6% of respondents were satisfied with its actions, and 15.9% found it difficult to answer. While 89.7% of respondents spoke negatively about Turkey's reaction, 2.7% - positively, 7.4% - found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, 68.8% of respondents positively assessed the reaction of Iran, 20.8%- negatively, 10.5% - found it difficult to answer.
Only 30.6% of respondents are satisfied with Russia's position, 59.1% are not satisfied, and 10.9% found it difficult to answer.
62.3% of respondents positively assessed the US reaction to Azerbaijan's actions, 28.2% - negatively, 9.6%- found it difficult to answer. And 69.3% positively assessed the actions of France, 22.4% - negatively, 8% - found it difficult to answer.
