ArmInfo.Servicemen of the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces at the American base stationed in the city of Hohenfel (Germany) took part in a Crowd Management exercise on the eve of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) multinational exercise.
As reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Defense, the units of the peacekeeping brigade acted skillfully, consistently fulfilled the assigned tasks, and were highly appreciated by the instructors who watched the preparatory courses.
KFOR - is a NATO-led international peacekeeping force responsible for ensuring stability in Kosovo.
The KFOR was created in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and entered Kosovo on June 12, 1999. As of April 2007, the force included 16,000 troops from 34 countries (24 were NATO, 10 not NATO; the maximum number of KFOR reached 50,000). Initially, the KFOR grouping consisted of four multinational brigades, each of which had its own sector of responsibility. In 2005, this force was reorganized into five task forces. By September 2012, the number of the group was reduced to 5 thousand soldiers and officers.
