ArmInfo. A solemn ceremony of opening a new building of the French educational complex named after Anatole France took place in Yerevan.
According to the press service of the French Embassy in Armenia, the event was opened by the Ambassador of France to the RA Jonathan Lacote, Director of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Olivier Brochet, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the RA Artur Martirosyan was also present at the event. According to the report, this building, provided by the RA Government, will allow the educational complex to develop and enroll more students, be they French, other foreigners or Armenians (the latter are already the majority).
The educational complex is already part of the AEFE global network of 540 French educational institutions in 139 countries of the world, and from September 1, thanks to a new agreement with the Agency, the educational complex will receive new support in the form of human and financial resources, thereby starting a new stage of development.
The French educational complex named after Anatole France is the only French educational complex in Armenia, founded in 2007. It has 260 students aged 2 to 18 years old (including kindergarten and secondary school).
All levels of education are licensed and recognized by the French Ministry of Education. The educational complex also has a department of Armenian secondary school licensed by the Ministry of Education of Armenia.
