ArmInfo. The parents of the missing and prisoners of war refuse to go in groups to the building of the defense department for negotiations and demand that the  minister of defense come out to them. Independent MP Sofya Hovsepyan  stated this in an interview with journalists in front of the building  of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, where the parents of the missing  and prisoners of war are holding a protest action.

She also added that now the head of the RA Police Vahe Ghazaryan has  also arrived at the Ministry of Defense, who, after talking with the  parents, entered the Ministry of Defense. "Let's wait and see how the  situation will develop further. The parents' demand to invite  everyone inside was also not satisfied, so they refused to enter  negotiations in groups," the lawmaker said, adding that she did not  know what prevented the Minister of Defense from going out to the  people.

"I don't know, you should probably ask the minister. As you can see,  I'm here since morning, not constrained by anything, and I think that  the Minister of Defense should not be constrained when meeting with  the audience. Apparently this is their approach," - she said.

When asked to comment on the words of the head of the Russian  peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno- Karabakh that the return of  prisoners of war was not planned yesterday and it was a manipulation  by the Armenian authorities, Hovsepyan noted that she knew about it  yesterday. "We need to ask the authorities.  Yesterday I spoke with  them (Russian peacekeepers - ed. note) and they were surprised that  the authorities were spreading information about the return of  prisoners of war. In particular, that the prisoners of war should  have been brought by Muradov, who did not know about it. Moreover, he  was surprised that the information came from the office of the Prime  Minister and had already been passed on by the lawmaker to the  parents of the prisoners of war. At least they were not informed. It  is difficult for me to say what was the purpose of disseminating this  information, "said the lawmaker adding that the parents did not  believe when she told them about the falsity of the information and  arrived at the airport.

She also said that she was informed about the paralysis of the roads  of the Shirak region. "The parents demand a meeting with the prime  minister. Although, yesterday they had an agreement to hold such a  meeting today at 16:00 in the government. However, something went  wrong and they now demand that the prime minister come to them," she  said, adding that a meeting with the head of the National Security  Service of Armenia is planned in order to understand what the goal  was pursued by yesterday's myth.  The MP also agreed that Armenia's  position on the return of prisoners of war has always been softer,  while Azerbaijan made more radical statements, as evidenced by  yesterday's statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. In her  opinion Armenia should take a tougher position and demand the return  of all persons held by Baku in accordance with paragraph 8 of the  statement of November 9, 2020.  In conclusion, she expressed her  conviction that the root of all Armenia's troubles is the inaction of  the authorities.

Meanwhile, the deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament Vahe  Enfiajyan expressed his conviction that the parents of the missing  soldiers should not be subjected to such ordeal.  "We should not give  hope and then disappoint. No matter how well we understand and  realize the mental state of the parents, nevertheless, only they feel  the ineffable difficulties that they have to overcome every day for  about 6 months.

At the level of responsible persons, it is announced that the  prisoners are being returned, but the plane lands empty. A separate  topic is the unacceptable attitude towards parents. Earlier, the head of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in  Nagorno-Karabakh, Rustam Muradov, called the message of the Armenian  authorities about the return of a group of prisoners of war from Baku  a false provocation.

So, General Muradov clarifying to the journalist why yesterday the  prisoners of war did not arrive, as stated by the Armenian  authorities, in particular said: "False provocation, ask them. They  are misleading the population. "At the same time, he stressed that  the return was planned neither, but there was only another regular  visit.

Note that the situation in front of the building of the Armenian  Defense Ministry continues to remain tense.  The parents of the  missing and prisoners are not going to leave until the leadership of  the Ministry of Defense comes to them. The head of the RA Police is  also at the scene.
