ArmInfo. The November 9 trilateral statement by the leaders of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan, which put an end to six weeks of hostilities in Nagorno- Karabakh, does not contain any "secret attachments," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on January 18.
"There are no secret attachments. And I do not see what topics can be the subject of some <secrets>, " Lavrov said at a press conference.
He also noted that Moscow has no idea of recognizing the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh and its inclusion in Russia. "Regarding the exotic proposal to include Nagorno-Karabakh in the Russian Federation, as I understand it, the independence of Karabakh has not been recognized by anyone, including the Republic of Armenia, we have no such thoughts. We proceed from the fact that all the issues of this region should be resolved between the countries located here, and primarily between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Lavrov said.
He stressed that the Russian Federation will be ready to help find a solution that will ensure peace, stability and security in this region. -
