At the same time, he found it difficult to say what will be the  reaction of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries to this fact.  "However, you should know that the Armenian side did everything to  establish a ceasefire. The Artsakh Defense Army showed restraint in  the morning. This is already the third agreement, this time reached  with the assistance of the United States, and which failed like the  previous two - initiated by Russia and France.

The head of the Armenian government noted that he does not yet know  what the reaction of the American side will be in connection with the  failure of the ceasefire initiative. Pashinyan also added that at  night he had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Mike  Pompeo, to whom he outlined his vision of whether it would be  possible to reach a truce or not. "I told Pompeo that given the fate  of the previous agreements, it is highly likely that this time the  ceasefire will not be established and the Azerbaijani side will blame  the Armenian side for this. In this regard, I asked him if the  ceasefire would still be violated:  firstly, how we will find out who  is the initiator of the violation; secondly, what consequences awaits  the one who violated the agreements, "the head of the Armenian  government said, considering it incorrect to disclose the answers  voiced to his questions. In this regard, he expressed the hope that  today public answers to his questions will be given by the American  side.  At the same time, he urged not to doubt the sincerity of  Russia, France and the United States in achieving a ceasefire in the  zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to Pashinyan, the  presidents of these three countries put their names under these  efforts, taking on obligations. According to the head of the Armenian  government, this is now of more acute importance for the United  States in view of the election campaign.  The fact that the leaders  of France, Russia and the United States today cannot achieve a  ceasefire, continued Pashinyan, indicates to us that today we live in  a completely new world. At the same time, he once again expressed the  hope that the efforts of the three presidents will still bear fruit.   Pashinyan also stated that throughout the negotiations, the Armenian  side showed flexibility, which did not find understanding with  Azerbaijan. "Now we can say with confidence that Azerbaijan does not  want the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, but the unconditional  surrender of Artsakh. In this situation, I have a number of  questions. First, is the Armenian people ready for mutual  concessions? I am convinced that yes, the Armenian people are ready  for this. Second, are the Armenian people ready for the surrender of  Artsakh? I believe that the Armenian people will not agree to this  under any circumstances. Therefore, the Armenian people must find  resources to protect themselves and their rights and interests, "the  Armenian Prime Minister said.  At the same time, he believes that  balancing at the red line, Armenia must find resources to protect its  interests, thereby forcing Azerbaijan to compromise.  According to  him, there is one way to resolve the Karabakh issue - public  consensus, to be as devoted to this struggle as every soldier  standing on the front line and defending the Motherland like a lion.

The prime minister of Armenia also believes that those who deserted,  left the battlefield, did not want to go to the front line should be  awarded public censure.  "If we all stand together to defend the  homeland - men, women, shoulder to shoulder, we can force Azerbaijan  to dialogue - there will either success or not. Nobody will fight for  us. And there will be nowhere to run. Nobody will come to resolve  this issue instead of us. We are now at the red line of our  interests, "Pashinyan said, adding that the Armenian leadership will  strive to be as flexible as possible in negotiations, however, there  should not be those in Armenia who will try to" deviate "from the  holy mission to defend the Motherland.

According to him, there is a war in Artsakh now, and the whole of  Armenia should live in this regime, and there should be queues of  citizens voluntarily going to the front in front of the military  enlistment offices around the clock.

"In order to decide your future, you should take the fate in your own  hands. There is no other way out. For example, Azerbaijan wants  Artsakh's surrender, but Nagorno-Karabakh did not set itself the task  of surrendering Baku. Therefore, the Armenian people should act so  that Baku does not wanted Artsakh's surrender, "Pashinyan is  convinced.

He also assured that he would very much like to tell the public what  is happening on the front lines, but cannot because of the martial  law introduced in the country. In conclusion, he expressed gratitude  to the Diaspora for their active work and assistance against the  background of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
