ArmInfo.Two major online tournaments will be held in the coming days by the St. Louis Chess Club (USA).
The first of these, Fischer's 2020 Champions Showdown: Chess 9LX, kicks off this Friday, 11 September. Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Peter Svidler (Russia), Garry Kasparov (Croatia), Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Wesley So, Lenier Dominguez (all - USA), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Levon Aronian ( Armenia) and Alireza Firouja (France) will be on the starting line. The competition will be held in a round robin system in one round with a time control of 20 minutes per game plus 10 seconds per move. Game days: September 11to Sep.13. Tours start at 9:00 pm Moscow time. The prize fund of the tournament is $ 150,000.
The traditional super tournament Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz with a prize fund of $ 250,000 will start on September 15th, which will also be held online this year.
