ArmInfo.Ararat Mirzoyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, issued a statement regarding the resignation of MP Arsen Julfalakyan from "My Step".
In particular, the statement reads: "On September 9, in accordance with part 1 of article 155 of the constitutional law" Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly ", the lawmaker of the RA National Assembly Arsen Julfalakyan submitted a statement on resignation of his powers. According to part 2 of Article 155 of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, "if within a week after the announcement of his resignation a lawmaker withdraws his previous statement by a written statement, then the NA Speaker makes a statement regarding this; if the lawmaker does not withdraw his statement of resignation, then a protocol is drawn up on the termination of his powers, which is signed and announced by the NA Speaker>.
To add, Julfalakyan announced his decision to lay down his deputy mandate the day before, justifying this by fundamental disagreements with the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan regarding approaches to the management of the fields under his jurisdiction. Julfalakyan also noted that the path chosen by the minister is unpromising and will not solve the existing problems.
