ArmInfo. We can say that the trial in the case of Robert Kocharyan has turned into a farce. Hayk Alumyan, the lawyer of second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan,  stated this at a press conference, thereby supporting the opinion of  colleagues defending the injured party.

The lawyer also noted that he agrees with the point of view of the  Minister of Justice that the process is being delayed. <Yes, of  course, such a phenomenon takes place. But, I would recommend  Badasyan to find out the reasons why this case is being delayed. The  point is that the judges do not want to have anything to do with this  case. This is obvious, just look at the number of rejections. In  addition, Judge David Grigoryan had this case, but a criminal case  was fabricated against him in order to transfer Kocharyan's case to  another judge. Then the case was not transferred to another judge for  a long time, since Anna Danibekyan was on vacation, they were waiting  for her to return. After the case was re-transferred to Danibekyan,  the judge herself was often absent for various reasons," Alumyan  stressed.

He expressed the hope that the head of the Ministry of Justice will  take into account all these facts and come to certain conclusions.  The lawyer also noted that the court actually turned into one of the  parties to the prosecution. "The court is not ready to administer  justice in the case of Robert Kocharyan. Judge for yourself, any  petition is decided in accordance with the opinion of the prosecutor.  We can say that the situation is as follows: on the one hand, lawyers  and their clients, and on the other, prosecutors and a judge,"  Alumyan stressed.

As for the fact that the victims refused to take part in the  sessions, Alumyan expressed the point of view that the latter might  want to put pressure on the court in this way.

It should be noted that on September 7, lawyer Tigran Yegoryan  announced that the injured party would no longer take part in the  hearings on the March 1, 2008 case, as the victims believe that the  trial has turned into a farce. Moreover, they believe that some  structures are sabotaging the case and obstructing attempts to find  the true perpetrators of the murders that took place during the March  1, 2008 clashes.
