So, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, on August 20, at around 20:58, the department's control panel received a signal that a group of 14 tourists had climbed Mount Aragats, but could not return.
"According to the message received, 5 citizens were near Lake Kari, and the remaining 9 were between the southern and eastern peaks of the mountain.
One of the tourists injured his leg and because of the difficult terrain, they cannot go down the mountain, "the Emergencies Ministry noted, adding that one combat crew of rescuers left the scene of the incident. The department said that the rescuers found the group, and the department's car was lowered down, where they boarded their vehicle. Citizen V. Gayane, who received a leg injury, refused medical assistance.
