ArmInfo.Japanese government to provide Armenia with 400 million yen grant for implementation
health programs. The executive body of Armenia at the meeting on July 30 spoke for the expediency of ratifying the Armenian-Japanese agreement on the grant for economic and social development, signed on June 30, 2010. The document will be sent for approval by the RA National Assembly in the prescribed manner.
As noted in the substantiation of the draft decision, the document is aimed at developing economic cooperation with Japan, promoting economic and social development of the Republic of Armenia. In accordance with the agreement, the Japanese government will provide the Armenian government with a grant, under which the Armenian side will acquire four-wheel drive ambulances and mobile medical clinics to be used in the regions of Armenia, especially in the mountainous regions, providing the necessary medical assistance to those in need. The acquisition of this technology will contribute to the improvement of regional health care, expanding access to medical care.
