ArmInfo. By the decision of the Council of the National Assembly, the head of the parliamentary commission on science, education, culture, diaspora, youth and sports, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, will head the Armenia-Iran friendship group. This was reported by representatives of Hayrapetyan's office.

Iran ranks 6th among Armenia's partners in foreign trade. However, in close cooperation between our countries, interaction in the field of education, science and culture can play a significant role. And, of course, let's not forget about the Armenian community of Iran, which is one of the richest centers of the Armenian diaspora and is best represented in the Iranian parliament>, the deputy said.
It should be noted that Mkhitar Hayrapetyan also heads the inter-parliamentary commissions Armenia- Cyprus and Armenia-Greece.
