ArmInfo. The information I presented in court can change the course of a bribery case. On July 3, the head of the RA Ministry of Health Arsen Torosyan told reporters, summoned to court in the case of former deputy minister Arsen Davtyan and director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology CJSC Razmik Abrahamyan.
Torosyan explained that he appeared in court as a witness, and for a rather long time answered questions of the parties. "I think that my answers helped to identify new circumstances of the case, and the court will decide what to do with this information," he said. The minister said that he presented in court some of the processes that preceded this case, and they can change the course of the case. So, according to him, earlier he repeatedly condemned the possibility of corrupt relations between employees of the Ministry of Health and representatives of medical centers. <I had previously met with the directors of medical centers, at which I urged them to forget about the practice that was probably being applied before, and advised them with various proposals to stay away from the employees of the Ministry of Health. Indirectly, such a meeting was also held with Razmik Abrahamyan, about which I informed the court>, the minister informed.
To recall, Arsen Davtyan was relieved of his post as deputy minister after he was charged with accepting a bribe for assisting in the distribution of state orders. He was detained by the NSS in April 2019 after receiving an amount of $ 3,000 from Abrahamyan. To note, Abrahamyan is also being charged with another criminal case related to the illegal adoption of children.
