ArmInfo.The World Health Organization has touched upon the growth of coronavirus cases in a number of countries of the world, including Armenia. At a press briefing, the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Hans Kluge, informed that there had been an increase in the number of European countries where the incidence rate of COVID-19 was recorded. So, if such a situation was observed earlier in six countries, now their number has reached 21.
Moreover, as was noted, in a number of countries of the world the epidemic of coronavirus continues to remain in the active phase. In addition, in countries such as Armenia, Israel, Northern Macedonia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, there is an increase in cases of coronavirus.
In total, 18698 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, 7560 people recovered, 309 died. Currently, 10728 patients are receiving actual treatment. To combat coronavirus, measures are taken in the republic to mobilize the hospital fund and increase the number of beds, including in intensive care units. Earlier, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that courtyards and adjacent territories became the focal points for the spread of COVID-19, and therefore it is planned to strengthen control in this direction. For citizens who do not comply with the requirement of the Commandant to wear masks, an administrative fine of 10 thousand drams is imposed.
