ArmInfo. We harshly condemn any attempt to obstruct the work of journalists, Speaker of RA Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with journalists, touching on an incident two days ago when police officers used force against journalists working among the supporters of the PAP head, oligarch Tsarukyan, gathered in front of the building of the National Security Service.
<I am not familiar with the details of this incident, I did not see what you are reporting me, moreover, I did not even read about it. I saw some journalists expressing dissatisfaction, but at the same time I heard that nothing out of the ordinary happened. But I want to repeat, personally, I have not seen such shots and cannot express my personal point of view on this particular case>, Mirzoyan emphasized.
To the remark of the journalists that the police officers understood that the journalists were in front of them, moreover, the latter were equipped with the necessary equipment, the Speaker said: <Perhaps when one of you interviewed, you were asked to leave and maintain a social distance. You may have been warned that in emergency situations you cannot take part in meetings. I am not familiar with the situation, since details play a special role in it. An internal investigation should be carried out, but at the same time, journalists should realize that the laws are common to all citizens, both for politicians and for journalists. In Armenia no one can bypass the law>, Mirzoyan concluded.
It should be noted that two days ago head of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan testified in the National Security Service of Armenia. In front of the building, party members and journalists were waiting for him. However, after Tsarukyan left the building, police officers used force against citizens and journalists gathered there.
