ArmInfo. It was decided that all persons in open spaces, except for children under 6 years old, should wear masks. This was announced during a briefing on June 3 by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Commandant for SE Tigran Avinyan.
Avinyan noted that this requirement does not affect persons who ride a bicycle or perform physical exercises. <This solution is universal for all citizens of the country. I understand that citizens are forced to wear masks in such warm weather and this is very difficult, but at this stage it is the most effective way to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Even masks made at home reduce the spread of the disease>, the commandant emphasized.
The Vice Prime Minister also noted that there are other, tougher tools that can reduce the dynamics of the spread of the virus. <For example, such a tool is the establishment of curfews in the country. As you understand, this will again lead to restrictions on economic activity and freedom of movement. However, at this stage, such measures are not yet needed. So that the restrictions are not tightened, I urge all citizens not to ignore the requirements of the commandant's office>, Avinyan emphasized.
