ArmInfo. A criminal case was instituted on the fact of the protest rally near the Meimandar market in the Armavir region of the Republic of Armenia. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page. ''Meymandar market is closed. At night, a special police operation was carried out, criminal proceedings were instituted regarding yesterday's events, about three dozen people were subjected to drive, there are detainees>, the prime minister noted.
To recall, yesterday's protest action was organized by traders dissatisfied with the decision of the Commandant's Office to close the market for 24 hours due to violations of the anti-epidemiological rules. This ban on economic activity was supposed to enter into force on the morning of June 2, but the protesters entered into a skirmish with law enforcement officers. As a result, the Chief of the Armavir region police Aram Hovhannisyan came to the protesters, saying that, taking into account the opinions voiced, the responsible authorities are ready to make some concessions and allow the market to work during the day, however, in the morning of June 3, the market will be closed for 24 hours, and the territory will be disinfected.
To note, in connection with the epidemiological situation in the country, by the Prime Minister's decree, tightened control over compliance with safety rules in crowded places is carried out. This applies in particular to places of trade, public transport, catering establishments. In addition, regular raids are carried out in the administrative districts of the capital. The relevant protocols were drawn up on the facts of the revealed violations.
