ArmInfo. In Armenia, due to the spread of coronavirus, it has developed rather severe situation. This was announced on May 26 at a briefing by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
In fact, as the head of government noted, this is the second wave of incidence of COVID-19. As Nikol Pashinyan noted, recently discussions have periodically been held on the subject of the reasons for the second wave. Numerous studies show that the actions of the commandant of the state of emergency are comparable to the situation and quite effective. The task, Nikol Pashinyan continued, is to maintain the rules of conduct established by the commandant's office. Unfortunately, there is a problem in the quality of support for these rules. The commandant's office established requirements for engaging in economic activity and social life. One of these requirements is the widespread use of masks, disinfection of hands, maintaining social distance. Compliance with these requirements will not only lead to a change in the situation, but also reduce the spread of infection to zero. Using masks even at home can dramatically change the situation for the better. The Prime Minister announced the tightening of measures against violators, raids are beginning to affect both individuals and legal entities. Tight control will be carried out on interregional roads, up to the establishment of checkpoints in order to identify persons without masks in vehicles.
According to the situation on the morning of Tuesday, May 26, 7,402 confirmed cases of coronavirus were recorded in Armenia. 91 patients died from COVID-19, 3220 people were cured.
