ArmInfo.President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili , on the occasion of the country's national holiday - the day of the restoration of Independence.
As the RA President's press service told ArmInfo, the message of Sarkissian notes that the friendship and mutual trust formed between the two peoples as a result of close historical and cultural contacts and cooperation proved their viability by successfully overcoming all trials and becoming the basis for formation and development good neighborly relations between Armenia and Georgia.
"Especially today, in this difficult period, caused by the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, the need for closer cooperation with our neighbor and friendly country is felt more clearly. I am convinced that by joint efforts we will be able to overcome this difficult chalange facing humanity," Sarkissian noted, wishing Salome Zourabichvili good luck and good health, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Georgia.
Armenia's Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan also congratulated Georgia, its people and Government on the national holiday.
He emphasized that the friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia based on common values and the continued positive dynamics of partnership and cooperation are highly appreciated in Yerevan.
