ArmInfo. The state of emergency should be extended. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this live on Facebook, speaking about the current epidemiological situation in the country.
Meanwhile, Pashinyan noted that with the extension of the emergency, restrictive measures will be relaxed. According to him, in almost all countries there is some kind of confusion regarding the removal of certain restrictive measures, since they contain social, economic and political components. <It is obvious to us that the state of emergency should be extended, and restrictive measures relaxed. Our strategy should not be aimed at ensuring that citizens sit at home, but that they follow anti-epidemiological rules, and in this regard we should try to use administrative tools>, he said, adding that this will positively affect the economy and allow citizens to work. In this regard, the Prime Minister again called on citizens to maintain a social distance, not to touch their faces with dirty hands and not to use dishes, which have not been properly sterilized.
To recall, the state of emergency in connection with the coronavirus was introduced in Armenia on March 16. Initially, the state of emergency was supposed to end on April 14, however, by decision of the Government, it was extended until May 14, 5:00pm.
