ArmInfo. Former Artsakh Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan takes part in a meeting of the commission of inquiry to investigate the circumstances of the April 2016 war. This was reported by the parliamentary correspondent of ArmInfo.
It should be noted that in 2016 Mnatsakanyan held the post of head of the Defense Army, today the latter holds the post of head of the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Recall that the parliamentary commission to investigate the circumstances of the April war in Karabakh was created in 2019. The Commission included representatives of all factions of the National Assembly. The purpose of her work is to identify possible errors, shortcomings or inaction on the part of the then authorities during the aforementioned period of aggravation of the situation at the border, which led to the death of more than 100 Armenian troops. The commission was visited by the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, ex-minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan, head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan, then head of the General Staff and later ex-secretary general of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Yuri Khachaturov refused to attend the meeting of the commission.
