ArmInfo. The United Arab Emirates sent a plane with medical aid to Armenia to counter the new type of coronavirus pandemic.
According to Emirates News Agency, 7 tons of medicines and protective equipment have been sent to Yerevan, which will provide about 7,000 medical workers involved in the process of combating COVID-19. So, Ambassador of UAE to Armenia Mohamed Al Qatam Al Zaabi noted that it is a great honor for the Emirates to help other countries in their fight against COVID-19.
"The leadership and people of the UAE are in solidarity with everyone who works together to put an end to this crisis, recognizing that the international community can defeat COVID-19, only with united efforts and intentions," the diplomat noted.
It is also reported that the UAE sent more than 314 tons of aid to more than 27 countries around the world, supporting almost 314,000 health workers in this process.
