The RA Prosecutor`s Office is demanding the confiscation of 20 properties belonging to a former State Revenue Committee official in favor of the state

The RA Prosecutor's Office is demanding that Ashot Arzumanyan, who held various positions in the State Revenue Committee, confiscate approximately 20 real estate and movable property worth approximately 1.6 billion drams in favor of the state. This was reported in a statement by the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the source, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted the case, submitted by the supervisory authority, for consideration. The Department for Confiscation of Illegally Produced Property of the RA Prosecutor General's Office has filed a motion with the court to confiscate the property of Ashot Arzumanyan and persons associated with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia. Specifically, this concerns 16 real estate properties, 14 of which are located in the Kentron district of Yerevan, one in the Jrvezh district of Kotayk province, and one in the Ashtarak district of Aragatsotn province. Also subject to confiscation are three vehicles, participation in eight legal entities, a bank deposit of $60,726, a claim on an outstanding loan of 254,505,000 drams, and 269,226,000 drams as the remaining illicit funds.

The supervisory authority is also targeting 1,103,270,000 drams of illegal origin, which were transferred to a bona fide purchaser and are not subject to identification and confiscation.
